Wharf Rat and Aurora are navigated by a team of lake lovers who have been cleaning up marineways from Georgian Bay, Ontario to Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, for over 40 years. Passionate about protecting local waters, we take a lake-first approach to every project. Our goal is to drive the industry forward in a sustainable way to preserve the corner of the world we call home.
The Weedoo workboat was developed by a farmer from Ontario, Canada who wanted to remove weed overgrowth from his farm ponds and from his lakefront cottage on Lake Simcoe. Our Tiger Cat 2021 model is the result of years of research and development, with cleaner marineways as the driving force.
With environmental integrity being our top priority, we only feed Wharf Rat biodegradable and sustainable high-performance hydraulic fluid.
We use Renewable Lubricants’ Bio-Fleet™ Trans-Hydraulic. This is a universal tractor fluid (UTF) that incorporates Stabilized* additive technology with biodegradable biobased oils.
Following each project, we also carefully clean our equipment to ensure that sediment and weed particles are not spread onto the next marineway.
